Our History
Our school was founded in 1969 by the Christian Women’s Fellowship of the Palo Verde Ave. Christian Church. It was their vision that the church classrooms, which stood empty during the week, should be filled with the joy of children and learning. It would be a place where families of all faiths could come together for support and a great beginning for their children. With hard work and months of preparation, the Nursery School doors were opened in September of 1969.
Our Classrooms
Our school houses four classrooms, each with access to a bathroom. Rooms 1-3 have a maximum capacity of 12 students. Room 4 is our TK Room and has a maximum capacity of 18. We provide a teacher and one designated aid for each room.
Our Playground
We also have a large playground containing swings, a play structure with a slide, a sandbox, a bike path, two playhouses, a painting area, a bench for resting, a drinking fountain, a designated bathroom and plenty of grass to run on. We also rotate sensory and other activities regularly.
Programs and Pricing 2026-27
We currently offer several program options. A $200.00 registration/materials fee is due each year upon enrollment ($150 for returning students). This fee will secure your child’s spot in the program and is non-refundable. Tuition is paid monthly, due on the 1st, late by the 5th. First and last months’ fees are collected on or before the first day of school.
Traditional Preschool Program only 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
2 Days a week: $352 monthly
3 Days a week: $405 monthly
4 Days a week: $522 monthly
Monday-Friday: $640 monthly
Preschool with 1 Extended Add-On Option
EITHER Morning Flexible drop-off between 8:00am-8:50am
OR Lunch Bunch Pick-up at 1:00 pm (sack lunch)
2 Days a week: $398 monthly
3 Days a week: $465 monthly
4 Days a week: $594 monthly
Monday-Friday: $720 monthly
Preschool with “Combo” (both early start AND extended pick-up)
2 Days a week: $445 monthly
3 Days a week: $525 monthly
4 Days a week: $665 monthly
Monday-Friday: $798 monthly
Requirements for Admission
Children must be a minimum of 2 years old and potty-trained. There are immunizations that your child must receive before the beginning of the school year. A copy of your child’s immunization record is required for admission. The required immunizations are:
- -3 doses of the Polio vaccine (OPV or IPV)
- -4 doses of the Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis vaccine (DTaP or DTP)
- -1 dose of the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella vaccine (MMR)
- -1 dose of the Hib vaccine
- -3 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine (Hep B or HBV)
- -1 dose of the Varicella vaccine (chickenpox, VAR or VZV)

Individual/Family or Business Tiles are a great way to leave your mark at Teddy Bear Preschool! We love looking at them and remembering all of the families who have come through our school. After your tile is complete, it will be mounted on the wall outside our office for everyone to enjoy!
